( could he handle seeing lydie again? or maxim? the two people he had loved so much before he failed them and had been unable to protect them. and julia… if she were to show up here, would it merely be seen as cruel by this place? to give to him the people he’s loved and lost and have them simply be on borrowed time. he can’t say he hasn’t thought about it since his finding himself here, but. well. that would involve a belmont being honest with that which they keep to themselves, now, wouldn’t it. )
